"It is in the sheer diversity and easy transitioning over nine tracks that Heyes proves the depth of his composition skills," Pedro Santos NZ Musician Magazine

The Story

The 9 pilgrims is a pilgrimage across a world of sounds and cultures, produced by Jono heyes and mastered by Grammy Award winning engineer Jerry Boys.

Heyes set up his personal studio in a place where time has stood still for some years, an old country house in an isolated rural village called 'Zalesi'  nestled on the edge of the Sumava forest on the czech/german borderlands.

Piece by piece the album evolved with 6 virtual guests from around the world each adding sublime solos and harmonies. Together crafting a multi cultural tapestry rich in acoustic timbres and tonality.

Below are the wonderful artists who joined the pilgrimage; Czech vocalist Beata Bocek, New Zealand jazzman and Triple Emmy nominee composer Trevor Coleman, Irish vocalist Francesca Baines, Swiss multi instrumentalist Samuel Hagmann, Czech tv and film composer Tomas Hacek, New Zealand double bassist Carlos gelling, Grammy Award sound engineer Jerry Boys, illustrator, graphic designer Petra Jirouškova and Jan Sirek Photographer.
