Jono Bono heyes, was born in the South of Aotearoa/ New Zealand in the mountaneous region of North Otago.
A world music that evokes Maliesque African undertones, cool Cubano Son, 60's folk, Paco de lucia's flamenco and even indigenous sonorities.
Heyes creates politcally conscious songs that are poly linguistic; English, French and Spanish he also incorperates indigenous languages such as Maori and other minority languages.
His unique music has featured on International world and folk radio shows and has received critical acclaim for its message and diversity, including the BBC, Radio spain, Radio Czech, Radio latvia, Radio Romania, Radio Hungary and many others.
